In the heart of Jaipur, among the vibrant lanes of block prints and sun-drenched cotton, lives a story born not from business ambition—but from a mother’s love.
Hi, I’m a designer from NIFT Kolkata, now living in Jaipur after marriage. Like many moms, my journey changed the day my daughter Amyrah was born. What started as little sketches on paper turned into dresses lovingly stitched with soft, breathable cotton. Why? Because Amyrah, like many children, had trouble with the mixed, synthetic fabrics commonly found in the market. They looked cute—but didn’t feel right on her delicate skin.
I couldn’t find anything that matched the softness I wanted for her comfort—so I made it myself.
That’s how Kahaani Kutir—which means “Story Cottage”—came to life. It’s not just a boutique; it’s a heartfelt venture where every outfit has a soul, a purpose, and a story. It’s where the timeless elegance of Kolkata’s design sensibilities meets the earthy charm of Jaipur’s hand-block prints and premium cottons—all brought together in outfits stitched with emotion, not machines.
If you’ve ever wished for better clothes for your child—softer, safer, and made with care—you’re not alone. That’s exactly how Kahaani Kutir began. And now, I invite you to be a part of our story.
Support handmade. Support thoughtful design. Support a mother’s dream to clothe your little ones with love.
Welcome to Kahaani Kutir—
A story house of fabrics, emotions, and made-to-measure memories.
I got the sibling co-ord set for my kids for Rakhi, and the fabric was unbelievably soft. Not only did they look adorable, but they also stayed comfortable the whole day — no itching, no fidgeting! You can tell it’s made with a mother’s touch
Ordered a cotton co-ord set from the Office Ethnics collection, and it’s now my favorite work outfit. The fit was perfect, and the breathable fabric kept me cool even in Jaipur’s heat. It feels classy, not bulky — just what I needed.
The lehenga I ordered for my daughter’s birthday was not just beautiful, it was made-to-measure and looked so elegant on her. The whole experience felt personal — like someone stitched it just for her story.
We bought a family set for our Diwali photoshoot and received so many compliments! The prints were subtle, the fit was perfect for all of us (including Nana Ji!), and the photos turned out magical. Thank you for making memories look this good
